Bath time fun

The kids had such a good time playing in the bath together.  It's a lot harder with all three, but they do have fun!  I was able to get a decent picture of Will, and then a couple of them with their animal towels.

Cheese!

Reese, Will, and Olivia all wrapped up

This is one of my favorite pictures!

Which Princess Are You?

For those of you who are surrounded by Princesses, this is pretty cute. You take a short quiz and it will tell you which princess you are most like.  It looks like I am Mulan.  Happy Friday my fellow princesses.

This is why I am getting gray hair!

Today started out with a great morning visit to my favorite store (Target), playing outside on the play set, and then having lunch. It was then time to take Olivia to golf, so I started packing the diaper bag when I heard Reese screaming in the dinning room.  When I went in to see what was going on, I saw blood running down her mouth.  Terrified, I washed out her mouth and saw a cut on the inside from her teeth and a cut on the outside right below her lip.  I immediately thought that her teeth went straight through (uggggh - I know it's like hearing fingernails down a blackboard!) and quickly packed all 3 kids in the car for a ride to the ER.  Thankfully, it was only a 5 minute drive. All of the kids did surprisingly well considering we were there for 2 1/2 hours during the heart of nap time.  The nurses were great and put in a movie for them to watch and gave them toys to play with.  The good news was that the cut didn't go through her lip - she had two separate cuts.  Plus, she didn't need stitches! They put on a glue adhesive instead which for her is better because she would have just picked at the stitches.  In the short 5 minute car ride home, both Reese and Will fell asleep and I swear I saw about 100 gray hairs begin to pop out on my head.  No Joke!!!

Reese with her fat lip waiting for the doctor to see us.

She had to have numbing cream on for 25 minutes just in case she needed stitches.

Here is the cut with the glue covering it.

Olivia loved playing doctor with the supplies the nurse gave her!

Will was a trooper sitting in the stroller for the entire 2 1/2 hours.

We love sidewalk chalk!

Our new favorite outdoor activity is sidewalk chalk.  The best part of chalk isn't drawing on the sidewalk, but drawing all over our bodies!!  Check out these pictures.

Wheeeeeeee!

We finally bit the bullet and took down the gate on the swing set.  Reese and Will can now climb up the ladder and go down the slides by themselves.  Reese loved it and Will was a little hesitant.  Here is Reese having the best time on the slide!

Crazy Hair Day

So I had to show everyone Olivia's crazy hair!  She had 6 crazy ponytails for her summer camp this week.  You gotta love this look!!

Hey Batter Batter Batter

This past weekend we visited the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum.  Olivia loved the giant baseball bat that was outside and Reese and Will loved running around the mini bases inside! The tour was pretty neat too- watching how the baseball bats are made.  After the tour we all received a mini baseball bat. Unfortunately, they are all put away now because when we got home, Reese thought it would be fun to hit Will in the head with it.

Boy is this bat big!

This one's out of the ballpark!

Hey, who's behind this mask?

It's lonely in the dugout.

What are you doing back there??

Olivia's 4 year pictures

Olivia had her 4 year pictures taken today.  She had so many to choose from, but we finally agreed on these three!

Oh no, a thumb sucker!

I was so proud of myself this past weekend for going cold turkey with the pacifier. Will only used it in the car and occasionally while we were out running errands. But, this weekend we threw them away.  He did pretty good at first but now is a bonafide thumb sucker!  Where did I go wrong!!!

Will loves his thumb!

Will, stop sucking your thumb.

AHHHH!

I love my sister!

Surf's Up Anyone?

I can't believe that I actually braved the movie theater today!  The theater by us shows free movies for kids during the summer and today was Surf's Up. I started the morning off by telling Olivia that we were going to the movies, but we may need to leave before the movie was over. Luckily we own Surf's Up and she has seen it several times, so she was alright with the fact that we probably weren't going to see the whole thing.  When we arrived (right when the doors opened), we saved seats, and then went to get popcorn! There is nothing better than movie theater popcorn!! After getting our snacks, I buckled Reese and Will into their seats and we waited for the movie to begin.  Unfortunately we had to wait 15 minutes, but I am not going to complain.  Had we gotten their any later, we wouldn't have had good seats - or any for that matter.  The theater was packed.  When the show began, Reese and Will pointed to the screen and yelled "penguins" (in their own language) each time they saw one.  That was every 2 seconds - the movie was all penguins!!  Anyway, we lasted 40 minutes and then had to sneak out.  I will have to say, that experience exceeded my expectations and I think it went very well! Who knows, maybe we'll make another movie this summer!

Here we are waiting for the show to begin.

Olivia sure does love her popcorn.

Are you taking a picture of me??

Got Twins??

We had such a fun play date yesterday!  The weather was perfect for the big water slide so we invited our twin friends!  Michael and Logan came over with their baby brother Aiden, and Kayla and Jordan visited us too.  Olivia had fun acting as the "big" kid, helping all the little ones if and when they needed it. Surprisingly all the kids liked the pool at the bottom of the slides and a few even went down the tall slide! After playing in the water for a couple of hours, we grilled out hot dogs and ate goldfish crackers.  How yummy!  Boy did Reese and Will nap really well!

3 sets of twins!

The boys having fun in the water.

Reese is brave on the big slide.

Boy were we hungry!

Happy 4th Birthday

Olivia as Fancy Nancy with her dog Frenchy!

Another great almond flavored cake.

Pinatas are always a lot of fun.

Love the loot!

Ready to sing Happy Birthday.

It wouldn't be a Fancy Nancy party without the parfaits!

Olivia and her friends in their fancy outfits.

Olivia had a fantastic 4th birthday on Sunday.  This year's theme was Fancy Nancy.  We have all of the Fancy Nancy books and pretty much know all the words to each book by heart.  The afternoon started with a party with her girl friends.  The girls played in the bounce house and on the swing set until everyone arrived.  Then it was back indoors for a reading of the first Fancy Nancy book.  After enjoying the book, the girls received manicures and fairy dust before dressing up with only the best accessories.  The cameras were definitely flashing after these fancy girls entered the room!  Next we all went back outdoors to sing Happy Birthday and make parfaits!  Wow would Fancy Nancy be proud.  We had a mountain of toppings.  I think the girls enjoyed piling on the toppings more than actually eating the parfaits.  The pinata came next.  It was so much fun watching everyone swing at the pinata with the stick! Luckily after all the girls had turns with the stick, all we had to do was pull the strings for the candy and toys to fall! Talk about a payday! When it was time to go home, the girls left with a picture from the party and a goody bag with only the fanciest items enclosed.

After the girls left, we had a cookout with the family.  It was such a nice (hot) day that we decided to get out our big water slide!!  All the kids enjoyed it and it was a great way to cool off!  I think it was a nice ending to a great day.
